Slieve Bloom Coach Tours future-proof fleet with new delivery from Volvo16/08/19
Slieve Bloom Coach Tours of County Laois has returned to Volvo to make a repeat order of two B8RLE vehicles after being impressed with its previous purchases.
The new 46-seater city buses, which feature MCV eVoRa bodywork, are already in use on scheduled services in rural County Laois. The vehicles join a Volvo integral B11R 9700 in Slieve Bloom’s growing fleet, providing a crucial service to many residents in the area.
Paddy O’Connell, owner of Slieve Bloom Coach Tours stands firmly by Volvo’s reliability and customer support, stating: “We are a growing operation focused on serving the local community, so when it comes to our vehicles – we only want to invest in the best.”
“Our existing Volvo vehicles have served us brilliantly for some time. So, when it came to adding vehicles to the fleet, Volvo was an easy choice as we feel it’s important to us to invest in our future.”
The vehicles also feature a host of different complementary features including surround CCTV, an audio PA system and assault screens that contribute to the overall comfort and security of the driver and passengers on-board.
Paddy O’Connell added: “Our drivers have been drawing straws to get behind the wheel of these BR8LEs. Not only is the ride as smooth as you like, but all the added mod cons really make a big difference. I think the air conditioning alone is going to have customers writing thank you letters at this time of year.”
Dave Porter, Coach Sales Manager for Volvo Buses commented: “It’s always a pleasure dealing with customers with a vision. I have complete faith that Slieve Bloom’s latest investment will serve the business well for years to come and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
Slieve Bloom Coach Tours was founded in 1985 near Mountmellick, a market town just east of the beautiful Slieve Bloom mountains. They provide widely used bus services for the local community, and private tours for all needs and destinations.
