Volvo adds ‘More Coach Value’ to its product portfolio30/10/18
The new coach, which is based on the well established B11R Euro VI chassis, was unveiled today (30 October 2018) for the very first time at the Euro Bus Expo show at the NEC in Birmingham.
James Hyde, Retail Sales Director, commented: “The demand for a competitively priced, fixed-specification coach that can undertake a wide range of work is growing and the new Volvo B11R MCV has been developed to bring ‘more coach value’ and choice for operators.”
MCV has created a sleek stainless steel coach body with a modern design and a comfortable interior for passengers and drivers alike.
The overall length of the vehicle is 12.65m and it comes with double-glazed side-tinted windows, a pneumatic entrance door, LED lights and electronically operated wing-style mirrors.
The cabin is constructed for comfort and style, with interior LED lighting and reclining BRUSA Create passenger seats in cloth and leather, complete with three-point seatbelts, footrests and USB charging points.
Personal air vents, spotlights and full-draw window curtains allow passengers control over their environment, while entertainment is provided by a Bosch Infotainment Gen 2017 system and two LED flat screens.
The ergonomically designed driver area is equipped with a range of high-spec features, including electric sunblind and a reversing camera with an integrated 7” monitor on the dashboard.
Built at the state of the art MCV production facilities in Salheya in Egypt, which builds around 6,000 buses and coaches annually for a wide range of applications, the new ‘523’ will have a retail price of £215,000.
