Coach Services turns to Volvo for first Euro 6 fleet replacement05/09/16
The two buses, which feature MCV Evolution bodywork, will be deployed on a number of local bus services and school contracts on routes in Kings Lynn and Bury St Edmunds.
Rob Crawford, Transport Manager for Coach Services, said: “We have been providing transport for Thetford and the surrounding area for more than 60 years. We were looking for a quality, high specification vehicle with excellent capacity to meet the demands of our contracts and the Volvo B8RLE fitted the bill.
“Our new buses feature all the latest passenger safety, comfort and convenience benefits, such as three-point seat belts, which were very important to the selection of this specific vehicle due to the school work, as well as security cameras. The vehicle also came highly recommended by other local operators which sealed the deal for us.
“More than half of the vehicles within our fleet are Volvo and our experience of their products has always been excellent.
“Our Volvo Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager, Jo Standbridge, has been great throughout the process of vehicle selection and specification, right through to the final delivery stage and we’re excited to see our new buses entering service.
“In addition, we also know that we will get the service we require from our trusted local Volvo dealership, Volvo Truck & Bus Centre East Anglia in Thetford, which is located on the same trading estate as us and obviously adds an enormous benefit should we need any aftersales backup in a hurry.”
Jo Standbridge added: “We are delighted Coach Services has chosen Volvo to add to their existing fleet and look forward to a continued relationship between our companies.”
