The North Wales based tour operator has specified Volvo for many years and in doing so has built a strong relationship with the company. This was key in influencing the decision to select Volvo coaches again.
Graham Goodsir, co-owner of Goodsir Coaches, said: “We needed a new coach as a replacement for one of our older vehicles and in particular, we were looking for something that would meet our passenger capacity needs.
“The B11R 9700 was the flagship exhibit on the Volvo Bus stand at Coach and Bus Live and with great reviews we were persuaded it was the coach for us.
“The Volvo B11R chassis provides us with excellent fuel economy, which is an important consideration for any coach operator, and our experience with Volvos aftersale service sealed the deal for us.
“We are really looking forward to seeing how the B11R 9700 performs in terms of fuel savings, as we have heard positive feedback and Volvo has a proven track record.
“Our Volvo Bus Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager, Phil Hudson, was great throughout the whole process from selecting our vehicle right up until final delivery and we’re delighted to be adding this new 9700 to our fleet.”
Destined for use on a range of contract work, including independent schools and continenatal touring, Goodsir Coaches new B11R 9700 is 13m in length with a tri-axle arrangement and has 53 passenger seating capacity.
Graham Goodsir added: “Since taking delivery and the vehicle going into operation, our customers have also been making some very positive comments about how much they like the coach and what a smooth ride it is, which is great to hear.”
