Volvo B8RLE is top of the league for Leicester Park and Ride21/07/16
Eight Volvo Bus B8RLEs have been delivered to established Leicestershire company, Roberts Travel Group.
The vehicles feature MCV bodywork, and are earmarked for use on the Leicester Park and Ride bus routes, operated on behalf of Leicestershire County Council.
Jonathan Hunt, Managing Director of Roberts Travel Group, said: “We have always had a good experience with our dealings with Volvo, and the locality of our Volvo dealership in Bardon makes it very convenient for any back up support.
“The fuel consumption, reliability and size of this particular vehicle, with capacity for 91 passengers, perfectly meets our needs for this contract.”
Jo Standbridge, Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager for Volvo Bus, said: “We have a great relationship with Roberts Travel Group and are pleased to be meeting their requirements once again with these eight new vehicles.
“The B8RLE is well proven, not only in the UK but around the world, for its durability and reliability, which makes it ideal for operations such as park and ride schemes.”
Jonathan Hunt added: “We have a fleet of 75 vehicles, a quarter of which are Volvo. We have worked with Volvo for many years and we had no hesitation in choosing them again. As always, Jo Standbridge made the whole process a smooth and trouble free one, from the initial specification right through to delivery of our new buses.”
Roberts Travel Group was founded in 1995 and is based in Hugglescote. In 2005 the Roberts Holiday division was set up providing coach holidays throughout the UK and Europe.
