McGinley Coach Travel ‘goes large’ with new Volvo B13R29/07/15
The County Donegal operator wanted a higher capacity coach specifically for use with larger passenger groups. This latest purchase follows eight B11R coaches taken by McGinley Coach Travel, which have since provided the company with 10 - 15% savings on fuel efficiency.
James McGinley, Managing Director of McGinley Coach Travel, said: “We’d identified a gap in our fleet for a larger coach and this new Volvo B13R with its 65 seats and 14 metre bodywork enables us to accommodate enquiries from customers requiring additional passenger capacity.
“We’ve been delighted with the performance of all our Volvos and in particular, the impressive fuel economy figures we’ve received from the B11Rs mean we have made significant financial savings over the last 12 months.
“We have been specifying Volvo for many years now and as well as the impressive fuel economy figures, we’ve always found the driveability and reliability to be excellent. From the business aspect, it is important we have the right level of service back-up and we have excellent relationships with Irish Commercials in Dublin and Dennison Commercials in Northern Ireland, which was also a key consideration in our decision making.”
David Porter, Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager for Volvo Bus, added: “We’re absolutely delighted that McGinley Coach Travel has turned to us yet again to fulfil their vehicle requirements. They’ve enjoyed some considerable benefits from their Volvo B11Rs and we’re confident the Volvo B13R will meet their additional capacity needs and the expectations of their passengers perfectly.”
McGinley Coach Travel has specified Volvo buses for nearly 30 years since 1986, as the family-run operator has grown to become a key player in Ireland’s travel industry. James McGinley says that trust and efficient customer service have been crucial to this long-lasting relationship.
