This is the second time that Dennison Commercials have picked up this prestigious award, previously winning it in 2012/13.
Karen Magill, Chief Executive of the FPTNI, had this to say about the two time ‘Supplier of the year’:
“This company is committed to the local transport industry and has focused on assisting operators by offering a comprehensive range of services, from advice, to parts, repairs, breakdown cover etc. The product reliability and exceptional service that this supplier provides to their customers sets a high industry standard and improves consistently year on year.’’
This award is testament to the high levels of skill and commitment shown by the Dennisons workforce, whose extensive network coverage includes depots in Ballyclare, Coleraine, Dungannon and Newry, which means that help is never far away for customers.
Mr Danny Kennedy MLA, Minister for Regional Development for Northern Ireland presented the award to John Jenkins, Managing Director of Dennisons who was delighted to be collecting the award for the second time. John commented, “It is a privilege to be awarded ‘Supplier of the Year’ by the members of the Federation. Achieving the title twice in the space of three years really demonstrates the dedication and commitment of our workforce to the passenger transport industry.’’
Looking to the future, Dennison Commercials want to build and develop the already strong relationship that they have with the FPTNI, to enable them to further support the passenger transport sector.
FPTNI is the trade body promoting the use of public transport and represents the province’s leading bus and coach operators. Some 250 FPT members and guests attended the event which is the only one of its kind for the passenger transport industry in Northern Ireland.
As well as providing products and services to the bus and coach industry, Dennisons is also a large supplier to the heavy truck sector in Northern Ireland. The FPT accolade comes shortly after an award received at the Export & Freight Transport & Logistics Awards in September 2014. Dennisons was recognised as the winner of the ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ category, meaning that the Company has now received significant awards for both vehicle sectors in recent months.
