Cresta Coaches runs again with Volvo05/02/15
One of South Wales’ most respected coach and tour operators, family owned Cresta Coaches has been in the business for more than 25 years and has recently taken delivery of the new vehicle to its base in Bridgend.
The B11R coach is the latest addition to the 17 strong fleet, which is made up of 80% Volvo coaches and will be used for the company’s UK and newly launched continental tour schedule.
“We are long-standing fans of the Volvo B10 and B12 and early indications are that the B11R will once again offer us the performance and reliability we are accustomed to with our Volvo vehicles,” said Ian William, Managing Director of Cresta Coaches.
He added: “We have received excellent reports on the B11R with its highly fuel-efficient Euro 6 engine and with the Jonckheere bodywork, which we always go for, this new coach will be a welcome addition to our fleet.”
Widely recognised as a reliable and high quality executive passenger coach, the B11R, is specified with the Volvo D11K 430hp Euro 6 engine connected to the 12-speed Volvo I-Shift gearbox.
Finished in the company’s distinctive livery, Cresta Coaches’ B11R comes with 53 comfortable reclining passenger seats, complemented by new part-leather upholstery.
Other features include a TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi and phone chargers, climate control, toilet and a servery for hot drinks.
Cresta Coaches has been specifying Volvo coaches since it took the decision to concentrate solely on coach and mini-bus operation in 1988.
Jo Standbridge, Volvo Bus Regional Sales Manager, added: “We are proud to maintain Cresta Coaches as a loyal Volvo customer and are delighted they have added this new B11R to their fleet. We are committed to continually meeting their growing requirements year-on-year, both in terms of vehicle delivery and ongoing service and maintenance.”
