As Roberts Coaches marks its 20 year anniversary, the decision was taken to purchase another B11R, which is in addition to a vehicle of the same specification bought by the company in 2014.
Jonathan Hunt, Managing Director for Roberts Coaches, explained: “We’ve been extremely impressed with the fuel consumption and performance of our B11R and particularly like the look of the Jonckheere bodywork. It has proved popular with our drivers and passengers alike and when we decided that we needed another 53 seat touring coach, we had no hesitation in going for another Volvo vehicle of the same specification to meet our needs.
“Working with our Volvo Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager, Jo Standbridge, we were able to meet the tight delivery deadline we’d set ourselves and she really pulled out ‘all of the stops’ to ensure we received our coach on time. As we always find with Volvo, we get what we want when we want it.
“The B11R offers great value for money, excellent fuel consumption and the added benefit of 53 seats on a 12.6 metre, two axle chassis.”
The new coach will be used for a range of services offered by Roberts Coaches, including UK and continental touring, schools and private hire from numerous clubs and societies. It includes all the latest on-board features expected by today’s seasoned coach traveller.
Jo Standbridge added: “We’re noticing that the B11R is gaining an incredibly strong reputation with operators nationally and the fact that Roberts Coaches has gone for a repeat order based on their experience with the coach is a real testament to this fact. With the busy summer season almost upon us, our excellent delivery schedules are also placing us in good stead with many operators who need their new vehicles within fairly short lead times.”
