John McGinley Coach Travel, one of Ireland’s leading Coach and Tour operators, will take delivery of the eight vehicles to its headquarters in County Donegal, Ireland, in April.
The B11R coaches are finished to a very high spec and used for the company’s own incoming US and European tour programs to Ireland.
“We are long-standing fans of the B12M and the new B11Rs will be our first rear-engine coaches. We have once again opted for Volvo Bus due to good driver performance, reliability and Volvo’s back-up service” said James McGinley, Managing Director of John McGinley Coaches.
He added: “We operate 20 vehicles in total from minis to coaches, and all of our full size coaches are 100 percent Volvo.”
The B11R is the backbone of Volvo’s next generation coaches. Its highly fuel-efficient Euro 6 engine is designed to cut operational costs, combined with a chassis designed for quality, superior functionality, passenger comfort and lifecycle productivity.
The new coaches display a revamped version of John McGinley Coach Travel’s traditional white, orange and blue livery colours. They are equipped with 53 comfortable reclining passenger seats complemented by a new part-leather upholstery.
Other features include a TV and DVD, Wi-Fi and phone chargers, climate control, an onboard toilet and a servery for hot drinks.
John McGinley Coach Travel has used Volvo buses since 1986, as the family-run operator has grown from humble beginnings to become a key player in Ireland’s travel industry. James McGinley says that trust and efficient customer service have been crucial to this long-lasting relationship.
