Lochs & Glens has been purchasing Volvo coaches for more than 20 years and these latest additions bring the exclusively Volvo fleet up to 16 in total.
The new B13R coaches are being used for the company’s specialised Scottish tour business and each features TV screens, hot drink servery and fridge, as well as an on-board toilet for the comfort and convenience of customers. Each with 57 passenger capacity, all seats are reclining and fitted with leather headrests, plus arm rests and magazine netting.

In addition, we work with our local Volvo Bus dealership North and Scotland at Cardonald who take care of virtually all of our servicing and inspections.”
Another important factor for Lochs & Glens is engine power, as Steve Nicols explains: “Because of the nature of our work in Scotland, in that we are regularly travelling across steep terrain, we need the extra torque the B13R provides us, so it was a natural choice for us.”

The new B13Rs for Lochs & Glens are specified with Volvo’s fuel efficient, 13-litre, diesel engine rated at 460hp, coupled to the Volvo I-Shift gearbox.
An ergonomic driving position, with easy-reach controls, adjustable driver’s seat and steering wheel means the B13R is a popular choice with drivers and makes it ideal for long journeys, such as those undertaken on the Lochs & Glens holiday tour programme.
Loch & Glens has been established for 35 years and as well as specialising in Scottish tours, the company also owns a number of high quality hotels throughout the region that form an important part of their holiday services.
