“We’ve had B9R coaches with the Jonckheere bodywork in the past and we certainly like that combination. The drivers appreciate them and so do our regular passengers.
“Undoubtedly vehicle flexibility played a major role in our decision,” continued Linda Sutherland. “We know that the vehicle can be used across various different operations.”
L A Travel’s new B9R coach is being used on the company’s contract work, on local school contracts and for private hire purposes.
“Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland are also excellent with us,” added Linda Sutherland. “We know that if we have any questions or requirements with regards to any of our Volvo vehicles that they will take care of them for us.
Fitted with the rear-mounted Volvo D9B engine and incorporating the Volvo I-Shift 12-speed fully automated mechanical gearbox, the B9R provides a driveline which is both smooth and highly fuel-efficient.
The new vehicle is fitted with 53 full executive specification passenger seats, with leather headrests. It has an onboard toilet, CD/DVD system and TV screens.
