World of possibility for Volvo buyer Atlas Coaches

London based, family-run coach operator Atlas Coaches have recently taken delivery a new Volvo B7R coach with Sunsundegui bodywork.

The new vehicle, which was delivered during March, will be used for the company’s various private hire works.

“We required a new coach that would be flexible enough to be used across different aspects of our private hire business,” explained Darren Hill of Atlas Coaches. “Volvo met our requirements with the B7R due to its size, cost and performance.

“Volvo has a strong brand identity in relation to safety and performance and those factors are also paramount to us as an operator. In addition the Sunsundegui body adds style to the functionality you get with Volvo coaches.

“Overall I’m very pleased because this new coach further boosts our fleet and affords us greater opportunities with our ongoing private hire services. With Volvo you also get good coverage in terms of back-up and support,” he concluded.

The nimble, yet robust Volvo B7R features the rear placed Volvo 7.1 litre diesel engine, which offers low fuel consumption, low emissions and a long service life.

A lightweight engine married with an uncomplicated chassis offers a low net weight, in turn creating a high passenger capacity of 53 seats and therefore optimised vehicle productivity.

“Darren and Atlas Coaches were quite decisive as they knew exactly what they wanted and we were able to meet their requirements with every aspect,” explained Volvo Regional Coach Sales Manager, Jo Standbridge.

“Vehicles are a major investment for any operator and the reassurance with Volvo is that we will always do our utmost to ensure that the coach stays where it belongs – on the road.”
