“The purchase of these latest Volvo vehicles continues Metroline’s move towards a balanced double deck fleet”, continued Ian Foster, “we anticipate the continued work of both Volvo and Wrightbus to deliver better fuel economy figures will have a mitigating effect on upcoming Euro VI engines”.

“Recent undertakings from both companies to reduce weight will be crucial in maintaining vehicle capacity and competitiveness,” he continued. “With Volvo we know we are getting a tried and trusted product, that has proven to be reliable in the past and which the drivers like”.

Fitted with 62 Estaban Civic V2 lightweight seats and with an overall capacity of 87, the new Volvo B9TL double decks are specified to TfL standards and meet all current DDA requirements for passenger access.
