The new coach joins a 14 strong fleet, which is made up exclusively of Volvo vehicles. Halpenny will use the new Volvo for private hire engagements and tours, indeed it is already in active service.
A third generation family-owned business, Halpenny has been specifying Volvo over a number of years and with this being their 90th year of operation, the purchase of a new vehicle was an ideal opportunity to promote this achievement with a specially designed livery.
Specified with the fuel efficient Volvo DH12E 12 litre engine and with a capacity of 51, comfortable seating, as well as high spec features such as on-board DVD, toilet facilities and air conditioning, the new vehicle offers passengers and the company reliability and performance. Halpenny insist on choosing Volvo, as they have a strong existing relationship with Dennisons at Newry and trust in the value of their product.
“Being a third generation family owned company, we fully understand the demands of the industry and we know that the service and performance we get out of our Volvos is second to none,” explained John Halpenny, General Manager of Halpenny Travel.
Established back in 1920, today Halpenny has customers ranging from local community groups, to corporate clients, as well as international travel operators and even the local rugby team!
“Our experience tells us that our customers will love the new vehicle and our drivers like it as well! With it being our 90th anniversary it just seemed the perfect opportunity to purchase a new vehicle and to have it customised with a specially designed celebratory livery,” continued John Halpenny.
