THE REAL DEAL
The B5TL is a vehicle you can trust day-to-day, year-on-year, keeping your passengers and drivers safe and secure along the way. It should keep your finance department happy too. So when all you need is everything in a double deck bus – which, let’s face it, is all the time - then the Volvo B5TL is the real deal.
In service data has confirmed that the B5TL at Euro 6 has delivered notable fuel savings compared to Euro 5. Combine this with the reduced cost of ownership through attention to detail on maintenance access and other improved features, makes the Volvo B5TL an even more compelling proposition.
MORE CHOICE THAN EVER
The Volvo B5TL chassis is now available with the Wrights Gemini 3 and MCV Evoseti body options. There are also open top options from both Wrightbus and UNVI for sightseeing operations.
ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING
Based on the experience with the Hybrid, the power steering system on B5TL is operated by a hydraulic system but the power steering pump is electric and is co-located near the driver’s compartment – there are no hydraulic pipes running the length of the chassis and the whole system is easier to maintain and more reliable.
AIR QUALITY EMISSIONS ALSO DOWN
NOx (Oxides of Nitrogen) is the key focus of Euro 6 and the combination of SCR and EGR technologies in the Volvo Euro 6 engine delivers excellent results in service at a time when more and more Local Authorities are establishing Air Quality Management Areas. The Exhaust After Treatment System (EATS) also includes a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) with automatic regeneration which does not interfere with operation of the bus in service.
DELIVERING ON ALL FRONTS AT EURO 6
At Euro 6, Volvo Bus joined forces with Wrightbus and MCV to deliver a complete double decker. The result is a lighter vehicle with reduced maintenance costs, lower than ever air quality emissions and additional fuel savings.
