Bryan Way, owner of Vale Coaches, said: “We have recently signed a new contract with Dorset County Council for 7 years and needed a suitable vehicle to operate the service.
“This is the first new coach we are adding to our fleet and also our first Volvo. We decided as this is a long term agreement with the Council, it was important to invest in a new vehicle that would see us through the duration of the contract. Seating capacity was required for 70 passengers, so the 72 seat B8R SB3 was the perfect solution.
“The vehicle comes with three point seat belts as standard, which is extremely important when considering the safety of our passengers, especially on a school run.
“We had great advice from Volvo Retail Bus and Coach Sales Manager, Richard Mann, who understood our package requirement of a high capacity coach, with great aftermarket support and product quality.”
Richard Mann said: “It is great bringing a new customer into the Volvo family. We know this coach will offer passenger safety which is so important, as well as the excellent fuel economy and performance the B8R offers.”
